Propain tablets are indicated for the treatment of tension headaches, joint pain, neuralgia, fever, flu, period pain, toothache and other conditions causing mild to moderately severe pain. Propain tablets contain Caffeine Anhydrous, Codeine Phosphate, Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride and Paracetamol as active ingredients. Propain tablets work by increasing the pain threshold and increasing the blood flow across the skin, preventing heat loss and sweating. They are broken down by the liver into morphine, reversibly blocking the action of adenosine on its receptor and blocking the action of histamine.
